Farley & Heller

Boys Own Productions

Although prominent house DJs and producers individually, Terry Farley and Pete Heller enjoyed their greatest notoriety working as a duo. They first surfaced in the early '90s as part of the Boys Own collective.

In 2015, Terry Farley joined us for his first Shindig playing a very special and memorable set on the Sunday afternoon to a crowd of smiling faces – each one knowing that this would go down as a classic moment in Shindig history. We knew we had to get Terry back the following year and he came back with a bang – kicking off the Weekender in style with his old pal and Lord Sabre himself – Andrew Weatherall. Barely had the dust settled from 2016 and we were straight in there to see who Terry wanted to bring along for the next event…with one man in mind – Pete Heller.

Although prominent house DJs and producers individually, Terry Farley and Pete Heller enjoyed their greatest notoriety working as a duo. They first surfaced in the early ’90s as part of the Boys Own collective. In addition to working under their own names, Farley and Heller recorded as Roach Motel, an outlet for their more underground projects; they also joined producer Gary Wilkinson as Fire Island, as well as teaming with Weatherall and Hugo Nicholson in Bocca Juniors. In recent years they were involved with the first Number 1 Single on the BBC’s vinyl chart alongside former Junior Boy’s Own label mates Underworld.
